The Head Kore 85 Women's Skis with Bindings is a light, frontside all-mountain ski with a little versatility added in. Head was able to shed weight and enhance vibration damping; something that seems rather counter-intuitive to most.
We still see the same Karuba and Poplar wood core with these skis, along with carbon, fiberglass and graphene, but no more Koroyd. At 85-millimeters under the boot, the Kore 85 Women's ski definitely prefers firmer or hard-packed conditions more than deep snow, but you can certainly take them off trail on the occasional foray into the ungroomed. It's a great all-mountain ski that caters to a wide range of ability levels and styles. It's the type of ski that won't punish so you don't have to be on your "A" to enjoy this ski. Head was able to shed weight and enhance vibration damping; something that seems rather counter intuitive to most since these skis already have the reputation of being very light. The increased dampening is noticeable and gives this ski more shops in a wider variety of conditions. Cruisers, hardpack and even some crud can be skied equally on the 85.
