Helmets
“Brain Bucket”, “Skid Lid,” call it what you like. Ski helmets are designed to protect your head from impact. Accidents are something no one plans to have, but preparing? Now that's something you can do.
Ski & Snowboard helmets are made with stiff closed cell foam (so it can't soak up sweat) to absorb impact, a hard outer shell and soft padding for comfort. They're very lightweight and comfortable. Ski and snowboard helmets are different from skateboarding, bicycling or hockey helmets which usually employ open cell foam and typically don't have full head coverage or an easy way to secure your goggles.
A good helmet fit is loose enough to be comfortable but not so loose that it will fall down over your eyes. We'll start by measuring then help you choose a helmet to try and suggest you wear it while you're trying on boots or ski jackets to make sure you don't feel any pressure over time. It's also a good way to see how warm it is, and choose a liner for those unusually cold days. Check the fit of your goggles too. With so many styles to choose from there's no need to risk a sun tanned or chapped sliver of skin on your forehead!
